Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden posted a notice on social media announcing that Thirteen By James Harden, his latest endeavor into the hospitality business, will be conducting a job fair to recruit over 100 employees.
“We’re just getting started here, come on by if your in need of employment,” Harden’s post on Twitter said.
The fine dining restaurant named after his NBA jersey number is looking for managers, hostess, bartenders, servers, security and kitchen staff. A hiring event where potential candidates can submit their resumes is scheduled for Dec. 3 and Dec. 4.
Located in Midtown Houston, Thirteen is expecting an early 2021 opening. Other details regarding the cuisine or ambience of the establishment have yet to be revealed.
Harden has been with the Houston Rockets for nine seasons. During his time in Houston, the California born player has become co-owner of the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash soccer teams.
Although Harden has reportedly requested to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets, the Rockets seemingly intend on keeping the player for the next two seasons, per his contract.
