‘House Party’ 2023 Reboot Got Jokes And Mad Celeb Cameos

Against the backdrop of 2 Chainz rapping over the classic Kool & The Gang’s “Hollywood Swinging,” we are introduced to two young entrepreneurial friends, played by actors Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole, commissioned to clean a mega-mansion. Not too sharp, it takes a while for the duo to realize that they’re actually in LeBron James’ magnificent compound.

So what do they do? Out of desperation to make some extra cash, they decide to throw a party in King James’ house. The feature comes full of jokes, one being a hologram of LeBron James that is specifically programmed to show the athlete self-love.

The official trailer from SpringHill Entertainment and New Line Cinema contains tons of superstar cameos, including Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Lena Waithe, along with some major athlete talent. Christopher Reid and Christopher Martin, who played Kid and Play, respectfully, in the original House Party franchise, returns to the 2023 reboot.

The film stars Jacob Latimore (The Chi), Tosin Cole (Doctor Who), Bottara Angele (Licorice Pizza), Allen Maldonado (The Wonder Years), Karen Obilom (Games People Play), and comedian D.C. Young Fly.
