The verdict in the case of Nipsey Hussle’s brutal murder was delivered by a Los Angeles jury on Wednesday. Eric Holder Jr., captured on candid camera discharging the weapons that killed the beloved rapper in front of his Marathon clothing store, was found guilty of first-degree murder.
The Rollin’ 60s gang member was also found guilty of felony possession of a firearm, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter in reference to the two onlookers who were also shot by Holder that day in March 2019.
On the second day of deliberations, the jury took less than an hour to make the decision. Holder, who is facing life in prison, is expected to receive his sentence in September.
Throughout the trial, Holder’s attorney argued that the defendant was being overcharged and committed the act in the heat of passion.
Prosecutors argued that the murder was premeditated, as Holder, 32, had nearly 10 minutes to return to the vehicle he arrived in and load his firearms before once again confronting Hussle.
