Drakeo The Ruler Released From Prison After Striking Plea Deal

Drakeo The Ruler was all smiles his first day out of prison after serving three years. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office made a time served offer to the “Impatient Freestlye” rapper that would enable him to be released on Wednesday (Nov. 4) with the condition that he serves five years on probation. Journalist Jeff Weiss broke the story.

“Incredible news: The DA suddenly offered Drakeo a plea deal for time served,” Weiss posted on Twitter. “He took it. The Ruler will be coming home tonight. @IamMRMOSELY is free”.

Drakeo posted, “We know the Truth. The truth is undisputed. #DrakeoFree.”

Drakeo, real name Darrell Caldwell, was on trial for conspiracy to commit a murder and attempted murder in a case involving a 24-year-old man that died in 2016. Within the three years in prison, the 26-year-old rapper would be acquitted of murder charges in 2019 only to be arrested again to serve a year in prison without bail for possession of a firearm, shooting the firearm, and gang conspiracy.

A hung jury dismissed the gang conspiracy charges, but he was still facing a possible life sentence. That was until the DA made a sudden offer.

Now that Drakeo the Ruler is free, hopefully he will consider the wise words of rapper Boosie’s famous speech on people being “hypnotized with hatred” and the tragic demise of Nipsey Hussle being murdered in his own hood.

He might want to stay out the way and maybe even consider relocating.
