You’ll be happy to know that Octavia Spencer’s Truth Be Told has returned for a third season with Gabrielle Union in tow. The series is currently available on Apple TV+. For the sports lovers, the CW has renewed the HBCU sports drama All American: Homecoming for a sophomore season.
If you’re not into history, there’s the controversial docuseries, The 1619 Project, bravely being aired on Hulu, which apparently has no problem ruffling feathers — go read the numerous comments on social media to understand what we’re talking about.
Fan-favorite Harlem is making its season 2 return on Prime Video for all those who are suckers for love, while Hulu shocked everyone when the streamer announced that the third season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga would drop in the first quarter of the year. Topping off the list are two TV series based on Black families, one a working class and the other a white-collar, wealthy unit. Can you guess what shows we’re referring to?
