The final episode of Complex’s Everyday Struggle was announced to the surprise of many viewers early on Monday (Nov. 30). DJ Akademiks, Nadeska, and Wayno conducted episode 626 from their homes when they shared the news.
“I think it’s a lot more bitter for me,” DJ Akademiks said. “What this show meant for me in terms of just personal development, career development — also, learning kind of how to move around because I was such a solo, out the way type of person. I appreciate it”.
DJ Akademiks went on Twitch to discuss his departure and the subsequent demise of the show. In a half hour video, he expressed how he didn’t think Complex was going in the same direction as him. When DJ Ak went on a Twitch rant a month ago, he was reprimanded by the network for saying random derogatory things about Freddie Gibbs and Chrissy Tiegen.
While there’s no word on whether another network will pick up a show with Nadeska, Wayno, and DJ Ak, the trio wanted to give viewers a proper farewell by making the announcement themselves two weeks ahead of the final episode.
The last episode will air on Dec. 17.
