Hip hop has been the subject of criticism for decades, but never has it been more targeted than with the digital saturation of rappers causing the ultimate disruption of the music industry.
The digital age has practically kicked the gatekeepers to the curb, and that’s both a good and bad thing. Now, the power of music is in the people’s hands. Some have used it responsibly, while others have profited off glamorizing the most degenerate ideologies of society.
Dax is one rapper who knows how to balance the ratchet with the righteous when it comes to his music creativity. Arguably considered one of the most underrated talented rappers, Dax linked with Trippie Redd to bring his fans “I Don’t Want Another Sorry,” a song he deems “very personal.”
He raps, “Two wrongs don’t make a right I turned left | Now you mad I don’t pick up I don’t return texts | Like I’m supposed to let it slide what and just forget | That you destroyed everything we had what just for sex | Fuck that! I’m angry, I’m depressed and I’m mad.”
Trippie adds his own angst about heartbreak when he lets off, “Told you I would love you to the moon and to the ether | she thinks that I’m stupid and I peeped her | better off alone by myself I need to leave her.”
The official visual for the song dropped just before the new year. See it below:
