Global rap star 50 Cent will be receiving the 2,686th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Thursday, Jan. 30.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is recognizing the Power actor for his work in the music recording industry.
Born Curtis Jackson III, 50 Cent is a Grammy award winner that has released five studio albums, 10 mixtapes and four compilation albums. To date, he has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.
His debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was released on Feb. 6, 2003, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard charts and gracing the radio with hits “21 Questions”, “In da Club”, and “P.I.M.P.”
His second album, The Massacre, sold over 4 million albums in 2005. He would later release Curtis (2005), Before I Self Destruct (2009) and Animal Ambition (2014).
The “If I Can’t” artist has successfully transitioned into TV and film, with his film debut on the semi-autobiography Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
He currently has 60 acting credits appearing in productions such as, All Things Fall Apart, Southpaw, Den of Thieves, and of course, Power.
He also is producing a variety of new series for STARZ, including Power Book II: Ghost, For Life, Tommorow, Today and The Pursuit, to name a few.
The ceremony will be held at the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine located at 6250 Hollywood Blvd at 11:30 AM PST.
