Oh, you thought it was over! Not quite. Nearly three months after Beyoncé released her highly-anticipated, seventh studio album, Renaissance, the album is still busting a move on the Billboard charts and across social media platforms.
Renaissance debuted at No. 1 upon its July 29th release. The album was led by the motivational dance record, “Break My Soul,” before fans started taking a liking to “Alien Superstar.” But, it was a sleeper hit, “Cuff It,” that seemingly came out of nowhere in becoming a viral sensation on dance video streaming platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram Stories, and YouTube Shorts.
The family-friendly dance challenge featuring the single has everyone in party and family reunion mode with its fully colorful, groovy instrumentation and steamy dubbed vocals à la the 1970s and 1980s. That win has helped Renaissance bump up from the No. 6 spot on the Billboard 200 that it filled for the week of Oct. 15 to the No. 3 spot for the current week (Oct. 22), with Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti at No. 2, and popular global boy band Stray Kids’ new entry, Maxident, at No. 1. Renaissance has been on the Billboard 200 for 11 weeks.

Nine weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, “Cuff It” originally peaked at No. 13 before falling to No. 36. Now, the single is gaining momentum once again, moving up nine spots and landing at No. 27. “Break My Soul,” which peaked at No. 1 and has been on the chart for 17 weeks, currently holds the No. 61 spot on the chart.
“Cuff It” bumped up four spots on the Billboard Global 200 from No. 16 to its original peak position at No. 12, marking the single as the “Greatest Gainer This Week.” Speaking of global, the single has made its way onto the UK Singles Chart at No. 5.

On the Billboard’s Artist 100, Beyoncé, who has been on the chart for 224 weeks peaking at No. 1, holds the No. 2 spot for the week of Oct. 22, just slightly behind Stray Kids and surpassing Top 10 artists, Drake, Doja Cat, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Luke Combs, Harry Styles, and major chart titans, Bad Bunny and Morgan Wallen. In the previous week, the “Thique” singer was in the No. 24 spot.
The viral hit has everyone getting involved, from the singing legend Toni Braxton to choreographer and social celeb Joie Chavis (see below). To think, we’re still experiencing Act I of the three-part album. Beyoncé’s still “That Girl.”
