Coachella is approaching the new year with a big bang. The music and arts festival presented by Goldenvoice has confirmed its 2022 performance lineup. Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will be headlining the two-weekend gathering.
Harry Styles kicks off the festival on Friday, April 15th and 22nd, followed by performances from Lil Baby, Daniel Caesar, Big Sean, Baby Keem, and City Girls. On Saturday, April 16 and 23rd, Billie Eilish will take centerstage, followed by Flume, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Giveon, Isaiah Rashad, Freddie Gibbs, Disclosure, and the music composer Danny Elfman.
As expected, Ye will rule on Sunday, April 17th and 24th, before audiences are entertained by Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Karol G, Ari Lennox, Denzel Curry, Maxo Kream, and Mariah the Scientist.
The last Coachella festival took place in 2019 with headliners Childish Gambino, Tame impala, and Ariana Grande, along with Kanye West’s Sunday Service. The festival was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Whether recent events surrounding a surge in COVID-19 cases will impact the April date remains to be seen, but for now Goldenvoice doesn’t plan on any cancellations.
Festival passes for an entire weekend are offered in four tiers, ranging from $449 to $549 with prices varying for add-ons such as shuttle service, VIP access, and souvenirs. An official waitlist is currently available on the website for those seeking admission to the Weekend 1 performances taking place from April 15-17. The pre-sale for Weekend 2 registration opens on Friday, Jan. 14 at 10 am PST.
