Okkkuuuurrrr! Cardi B has ten reasons to celebrate. Earlier today, BET announced that the ‘Hustlers’ actress has been nominated in 10 categories. The categories include Best Hip Hop Video, Single Of The Year, Best Collab, MVP Of The Year, Made-You-Look Award, Hustler Of The Year and Hot Ticket Performer, to name a few. Cardi B was nominated for her hit songs “Money”, “Twerk” with the City Girls, “Please Me” with Bruno Mars, and “Clout” with Offset.
Houston’s own Travis Scott received 8 nominations, alongside J. Cole and DJ Khaled. Drake earned a total of 7 nominations, including Hot Ticket Performer, Lyricist Of The Year, MVP Of The Year, Best Collab and Single Of The Year.
Some really exciting nominations include Nipsey Hussle for MVP Of The Year, Lizzo for Album Of The Year and Megan Thee Stallion for Best Mixtape. Oh, and let’s not forget DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club for DJ Of The Year! The awards show will also feature a new category, Best International Flow, recognizing talent abroad.
The 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards will take place at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA on Oct. 5. The event will be aired on Oct. 8 on BET Networks.
