Houston rap legend in the making Sauce Walka is ending the year of the twos with his third installment of “Ghetto Gospel.” In late November, the “Voss” rapper previewed the highly anticipated album Sauce Ghetto Gospel 3 while on Instagram. Meanwhile, he expressed his interest in working with J. Cole on a future SGG record — a collaboration that would be befitting of the collection that places a spotlight on Walka’s exceptional ability to encapsulate the realities of living in the hood via rap tales.
Just in time for end-of-the-year reflections, Sauce Walka dropped the official music video for “Ghetto Gospel 3” on YouTube channel SauceDatTV.
The nearly 4-minute song bounces between various stories about different individuals from the hood, while also balancing poignant messages about issues plaguing the Black community.
Walka raps, “Have you seen a millionaire become an alcoholic / Move back to public housing / They was mad when he was on / But now he broke his people smiling / Ain’t it sick how people rather see you broke and be around it / instead of motivate your a** to get up and go be astounding?”
The H-Town millionaire managed to slip in messages about supporting Black businesses, glorifying drug trafficking, fractured relations with police, and even the distracting news that hails from the antics of the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

“Ghetto Gospel 3” comes two years post the second installment. Sauce Walka first debuted the “Ghetto Gospel” music series in December 2018 with the 17-track album, Sauce Ghetto Gospel, released under his banner The Sauce Familia. The 49-minute project consisted of popular songs “Dripp Harderr,” featuring Pe$o, and “N’ 2 Dat,” along with the title track, “Ghetto Gospel,” with its official music video gaining traction on WorldStarHipHop.
He followed up with the second installment, Sauce Ghetto Gospel 2, in December 2019, bringing on rapper El Trainn for “Ghetto Gospel II.” However, the standout track turned out to be the ballsy single “Where Was You At,” which also had a music video debut on WorldStarHipHop.
