ABC Renews 50 Cent’s ‘For Life’ For Second Season

ABC has renewed Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s For Life for a second season. The first 13-episode season premiered February 11 to a solid fanbase making it a no-brainer pickup for the network.

Starring Nicholas Pinnock as Aaron Wallace, For Life follows the prisoner-turned-lawyer as he fights to overturn a life sentence conviction. Other actors starring in the crime drama series include Joy Bryant, Indira Varma, Dorian Missick, Mary Stuart Masterson, Brandon J. Dirden and Glenn Fleshler.

Jackson feels that For Life is more needed than ever amid the national protests for racial equality and justice.

For Life just got renewed for season two by ABC!,” Jackson said. “It’s more than just a show, it’s a fight for justice and we’re keeping the fight going. Isaac Wright Jr stood up to the system and won his freedom and now more than ever, we need to keep telling the story inspired by his life.”

He continued, “Creator Hank Steinberg and his team of writers are ready to continue exploring and exposing the flaws in the system which is so important now more than ever. I told you it would happen.”

Hank Steinberg, the creator of the show, also serves as the writer and executive producer, as well. The series is a collaboration between Doug Robinson Productions, Channel Road Productions, ABC Studios, Sony Pictures Television and Jackson’s G Unit productions.
