Obviously, collecting comic book pages from the past is the new wave. Believe it or not, a single page from a 1984 Spider-Man comic book was purchased at an auction for $3.36 million. The miraculous buy took place at the four-day Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX.
Ripped from page 25 of the Marvel Comics’ “Secret Wars No. 8,” Spider-Man is seen making his first appearance in the black costume that led to the development of character Venom.

Venom is a supervillain and the archenemies of Spider-Man that has evolved into a more complex character over the years. The artwork was created by Mike Zeck.

Bidding for the single page started at $330,000 before surpassing the record-breaking $3 million mark. The only other single page from a comic book to set a record close to the millions belongs to the an illustration of Wolverine in the 1974 copy of “The Incredible Hulk,” according to AP.
