Ice Cube Responds To Allegations Of Being Anti-Semitic

Global rap star Ice Cube tackled allegations of anti-semitism head on in an interview on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber. The West Coast legend said that he was misunderstood when he posted controversial art showing rich people playing Monopoly on the backs of enslaved people of color.

Some people interpreted the rich men as people representing the Jewish community. However, Ice Cube admitted that he wasn’t too familiar with the history of the cartoon art, but was trying to make the point that rich people are abusing poor people all over the world.

“It was pretty much a rich and poor thing,” the rapper said in the interview. “Two people can look at the same picture and get two different things out of it.”

He also denied that he was involved in a physical confrontation with a Rabbi, another rumor that surfaced on blogs and social media.

Ice Cube even took the time to explain his sentiments in the infamous NWA song “F— The Police” as he suggested that he was only trying to ring the alarm on racism, not cause more problems. He politely reminded people that he also made a song called “Good Cop, Bad Cop,” which sheds light on both sides of the badge.

At the end of the day, Ice Cube made sure to clear his name from anti-semitic claims by detailing the main allegations made toward him, something other celebrities could take notes on.
