Eva Marcille Leaving ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’

After just three seasons on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Eva Marcille is officially leaving the show. Marcille made the announcement on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show on Tuesday. The Bravo show is going into its 13th season.

“I appreciate the bond of friendship that I have made with several of my cast mates and strong personal relationships I have with numerous executives and producers of the Bravo and Truly Entertainment companies,” she said. “I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided. However, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities.”

Married to attorney Michael Sterling, most of Marcille’s time on RHOA showed her pregnant. Viewers had a chance to see the former America’s Next Top Model welcome her sons Michael Todd Jr. and Maverick. She even invited producers of the show to cover the ongoing drama with the father of her daughter Marley Rae, which viewers saw Michael Sterling adopt.

“I have a 6-year-old daughter and two young boys still in diapers. They’re 24-hours a day and there’s a lot of work to be done,” Marcille said. “So I decided to spend my time and energy focusing on my kids and my community, and not so much reality show business.”

Although she is trading her big check from RHOA for more quality time with her family and more important endeavors, she wishes the remaining cast the best of luck.

“I love every single one of those Black women,” she added. “They are all queens all in their own right. They are stars and I wish them the most successful season and transformational season 13 that The Real Housewives of Atlanta has ever seen.”

Viewers have been demanding that RHOA veterans Phaedra Parks and Kim Zolciak-Biermann return to the show. However, the network has hinted that 3LW singer Shamari Fears will be holding a peach next season.

For now, the remaining cast includes head boss-in-charge NeNe Leakes, fan favorite Kandi Burrus, fun-spirited Porsha Williams, tamed Cynthia Bailey and the antagonist Kenya Moore.
