HBO’s ‘Insecure’ Renewed For A Fifth Season

HBO announced that they are renewing the hit show Insecure for another season. The Issa Rae comedy will see a fifth season to the delight of several fans.

“We’re thrilled that Issa, Prentice, and the whole Insecure team will be getting back together for a fifth season,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vice-president of HBO Programming. “As we laugh and cringe with recognition, their stories make us all feel a little less alone in the world.”

Starring Yvonne Orji, Amanda Seales, Natasha Rothwell and Jay Ellis, the series follows the life of Issa as she navigates love and career in Los Angeles.

The Larry Wilmore and Issa Rae created show garners nearly half a million viewers for its cable premieres of each half-hour episode, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Due to Issa’s high demand in Hollywood, there was a brief break between seasons three and four, with the fourth season renewed in 2018 and premiering on April 12, 2020.
