Former MTV VJ and Power actress La La Anthony was able to use her interview skills to get NFL quarterback Russell Wilson to reveal what he calls his “five non-negotiables” in a woman when they had a chat on Instagram Live on Friday.
Wilson, who is married to singer Ciara, had a plan going into his next relationship after recovering from a divorce.
Back when he was single, he wrote down five traits that he wanted in a woman that was not negotiable.
He viewed relationships as partnerships and sort of a business contract with intentions to last forever. So, there was no doubt that the person he wanted to form this partnership with would have to meet all his standards in order for the relationship to work.
On IG Live, he shared these standards and they definitely were not the usual. While he was speaking, a very pregnant Ciara began to shed a few tears as her best buddy La La chuckled at the cute couple.

A Woman Of Faith
Wilson was not specific about his partner having a certain religion, but he felt strongly that the woman should believe in something beyond the realm of the carnal world. Ciara definitely checked off this box as a southern woman being raised in and around the chirrrccchhh.
A Woman Who Is Faithful
Clearly, a hard one to come by, especially when dealing with partners who have to be around other athletes. It was important that Wilson could have someone he could believe in and trust. Going through her own challenges with unfaithful men, Ciara could relate and wanted the same.
A Woman Who Is Independent
Nothing like a woman who has her own. The industry is plagued with groupies for purchase and it could be a headache for men like Wilson to find a woman who is about her business and doesn’t need him, but actually wants him for him.
A Woman That Loves Him The Way His Mother Loved His Father
Wilson was looking for that nurturing, unconditional love that weathers the storms of life. One reason that Wilson stands out among men in his field is because he did have both of his parents as role models growing up and he actually paid attention to the love that they had for each other. Having that example can make or break a man when it comes to how he treats a woman. The same can be said for a woman as she learns what it means to be loved by a man through her father and how a man should be treated through her mother.

Wilson appreciates beauty like many men, but this trait means way more than the superficial outward beauty that most chase. A woman who can tilt a room is not only attractive on the outside, but she also has an inner glow that impacts others around her.
