Dua Lipa’s New Single “Physical” Celebrated At L.A. Skating Rink World On Wheels

The MouthSoap attended the celebration of Dua Lipa’s single “Physical” from her sophomore album Future Nostalgia at the World On Wheels skating rink in Los Angeles on Thursday, Feb. 13.

Fans, content creators, music artists and industry executives were among those attending the party. The MouthSoap had a chance to speak with the L.A. Roller Girls who gave a sweet and swift skating performance to Dua Lipa’s song midway through the night.

The MouthSoap also chatted with Maryland rap and R&B artist Black Fortune, who graced the event with his appearance rocking Burberry and an iced out grill. He seemed to be enjoying the single as he expertly skated around the rink several times. He will be dropping his single “Nothing To Lose” on Feb. 28.

The full experience and more exclusive interviews can currently be watched at The MouthSoap TV on YouTube or below.

Produced by Jason Evigan and KOZ, “Physical” debuted at No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single’s accompanying colorful music video officially premiered on Jan. 31 and has garnered 22.8 million views so far.

Filled with energetic, pulsating beats and disco influenced instruments, the vibe definitely complements Dua Lipa’s effortless singing. The platinum certified artist is single-handedly bringing retro 80s music back with “Physical”.

“It’s very 80s inspired, it’s quite Flashdance-y, it’s fun, you can dance to it,” Dua Lipa said in an interview with Billboard. “It’s definitely my craziest of high energy songs.”

“What I wanted to do with this album was to break out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make music that felt like it could sit alongside some of my favorite classic pop songs, whilst still feeling fresh and uniquely mine,” Dua Lipa said in a statement.

Dua Lipa will be embarking on her second tour called the Future Nostalgia Tour kicking off in Spain on April 26. The 24-date tour will include stops in Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, London and Dublin, to name a few.

“Physical” is currently streaming on all music platforms.
