An official memorial has been set to celebrate the life and legacy of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
The service will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 10 AM on 2/24/2020, a date picked to honor Kobe and Gianna’s jersey numbers; the second month of the year represents Gianna’s jersey No. 2, the 20 represents the amount of years Kobe played in the NBA.
His wife Vanessa Bryant made the announcement through a post on Instagram this past Friday. Details on how to attend have yet to be provided.
The memorial will also honor the lives of the other victims that were killed in the Calabasas helicopter crash that occurred on Jan. 26. The other victims included the pilot Ara Zobayan, baseball coach John Altobelli, his wife Keri Altobelli and daughter Alyssa Altobelli, assistant basketball coach Christina Mauser, and Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton Chester.
A memorial service will be held for them at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA on Monday.
