The struggle between rappers Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj continues into the year 2020, even after both have moved on with new flames. Meek Mill is currently dating Milan Harris who is pregnant with his child. Nicki Minaj has totally moved on by marrying her childhood friend Kenneth Petty.
So what is all the fuss about? Well, it seems that Meek Mill can’t move on. The two broke up back in 2017 after a very public two-year relationship. Meek accused Nicki of not being supportive while he was in prison, but later apologized when he was released.
For a moment, it appeared that they were on good terms. But it didn’t take long for Meek to find his way back to petty.
Meek was persistent in being in Nicki’s DMs even while she was dating the legendary Queens rapper Nas. Then, he started linking up with industry rivalries such as Cardi B and Drake.
When that started being ineffective, Meek proceeded to troll every single man that Nicki started dating. Safaree was chased down by Meek Mill’s entourage while in town for the BET Awards in 2017.

When Nicki began dating F1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton, Meek Mill responded to Instagram posts of the couple vacationing together saying, “She don’t like nice guys.”

Meek would then display problematic behavior when he admitted that he would go to her social media and check out who she was dating. When he found out she was dating Kenneth Petty, he posted “I don’t feel nothing…and I don’t know that man to judge him. I went to check him out on her page and found out I was blocked.”
Then, Meek really showed his insecurities and obsession for Nicki when he rapped about it on an unreleased track. He made fun of what her current boyfriend, now husband, Kenneth Petty, wears and compared himself to her new flame. Clearly, he proved that he was not over her and resented her moving on so quickly.
The Pettys and Meek Mill had a run in at a Los Angeles store in January 2020 where they hurled insults at each other. No blows were thrown, but footage shows the parties verbally facing off with each other.

On the first week of Black History Month, Meek went on social media and liked a blog post that made fun of Nicki’s husband. Nicki responded, calling Meek a clown and things went downhill from there.
Nicki Minaj accused Meek of being a woman beater, but not having heart to confront men. Meek, with all his emotions bottled up, spilled them onto social media bringing up the sexual assault conviction of her brother, Jelani.
While Nicki Minaj seems to be a firecracker with the ability to use her words to hurt people, Meek Mill’s pettiness level goes beyond any rationale.
How can he be over someone if he is constantly stalking her social media, keeping record of who she is linked to, and using her as content for songs and social media?
What’s it to Meek Mill if her brother was convicted of rape? It’s not his brother and he isn’t the victim.
Why would he diminish the real victims by throwing that toxicity out in an attempt to hurt Nicki? She can’t help who her relative is, none of us can. Wouldn’t it be better if Meek remained meek about this situation and move on with his life?
Why not focus on his pregnant girlfriend, promising rap career and trailblazing prison reform initiatives? If he fights Kenneth Petty, what is the reward? He’s never going to get Nicki back. So, don’t be one of those thirsty guys that becomes obsessively abusive, mentally, verbally and physically.
Move on Meek Mill.
