Entertainment commentator DJ Akademiks recently posted a photo of what appeared to be Atlanta rapper Young Thug in the hospital.
In the black and white photo, an IV tube is inserted on his arm, along with a hospital wristband that doesn’t clearly identify the So Much Fun rapper. There are also two metal splints on his pinky and ring fingers.
The post went up on the Instagram page ThuggerThugger1 but has since been removed. DJ Akademiks reposted the photo saying, “Pray for #youngthug (and yes I reposted this… IG was tweaking when I had it up before…gotta repost.”
The cause of the hospital visit has not yet been revealed. For all is known, he could just be getting an IV for exhaustion and dehydration, which is common among hardworking entertainers and athletes.
This is not the first time that a post of Young Thug in the hospital has gone up on his page. Back in September 2019, a photo showed Young Thug posted up on a hospital bed with a solemn face and red hospital socks. He had just completed a surgery and appeared to be fine.
Born Jeffery Lamar Williams, the 28-year-old Young Thug has been credited with ushering in the new wave of rap on the onset of the last decade. He’s had a total of 43 songs listed on the Billboard charts.
He’s released several mixtapes, including Barter 6, I’m Up, Slime Season 3, and Beautiful Thugger Girls. So Much Fun was his debut studio album earning him his first No. 1 hit on the billboard charts. He is currently working on his sophomore studio album Punk, which is scheduled for release in 2020.
