Kevin Samuels, self-proclaimed relationship guru, has died at the age of 57. His mother, Beverly Samuels-Burch, confirmed his death to NBC News. Samuels was found unresponsive on the floor at his apartment in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday (May 6). A woman who was accompanying Samuels said that he was experiencing chest pains before he fell on top of her. She called 911, who attempted to help the woman obtain a defibrillator from the front desk. He was rushed to the Piedmont Hospital where he was officially announced deceased.
His mother found out about his death through social media, saying it “was a terrible thing for social media to put that out. I didn’t even know. I hadn’t even been notified.”
Within the last two years, Kevin Samuels became an underground sensation for his controversial and often, misogynistic ideas about women. His target was mainly Black women who would engage in consultation calls on his live YouTube shows. He would break down why certain women could not land what he deemed a “high value man,” attacking characteristics such as age, weight, facial attributes, and the number of children the woman had.
Surprisingly, his mentality was met with a lot of support and he was able to expand his message to other shows, such as Vlad TV, Joe Budden Podcast, and No Jumper, for instance.

Since Samuel’s death, the social media world has been filled with critiques and praises for the legacy he left behind. Some even call his death karma. But, it’s interesting that this type of karma doesn’t visit the likes of George Zimmerman or people who have displayed sinister ways throughout their lives.
