Master P Set To Document His Life In New Scripted Series Developed By Hidden Empire’s Deon Taylor And Roxanne Avent Taylor

The inspiring story of self-made entrepreneur Percy “Master P” Miller is coming to life as a scripted series. Hidden Empire Film Group’s multi-talented director and writer Deon Taylor and super-producer Roxanne Avent Taylor will be developing the series. The yet-to-be titled series will cover Master P’s come up from a child navigating life in Louisiana to a respected hip hop mogul that has made his imprint as a serial entrepreneur and a devoted family man.

“Master P is one of the most iconic names in all of hip-hop, but his legacy is even more inspiring,” said Deon Taylor in a statement. “He is someone who I and many others have looked up to not only for his music, but also for his business savviness and entrepreneurial skills. We have all learned something from him and it is an honor to be able to tell his story in an elevated way.”

Master P joins the project as executive producer, alongside CP3 Productions’ Kristi Kilday and Wayne Barrow, and Hidden Empire’s Roxanne Avent Taylor. House of Lies director, writer, and producer Matthew Carnahan is set as the showrunner.

“To be working with Deon Taylor, Matthew Carnahan and the rest of our team to tell my story is something I never expected in life but am truly honored and blessed by,” said Master P in a statement. “I look forward to sharing my story and share the message that you can do anything you put your mind to with hard work, dedication and putting God first.”

Legend has it that Master P built his own table by using money that he inherited to fund his first business in the music industry, a record store. From there, he would sell albums from the back of his trunk as an independent artist and CEO of record label No Limit Records. Under the banner, he would churn out several classic hip hop albums, such as Ice Cream Man (1996), Ghetto D (1997), MP da Last Don (1998), and Only God Can Judge Me (1998), to name a few.

The label would also produce unforgettable acts, including Silkk the Shocka, Mia X, Mystikal, and Beats by the Pound. Before it was a popular thing to do, Master P began making films for the hood, with his most popular being I Got the Hook Up.

Now a native of Southern California, the devoted father of seven children still dabbles in Hollywood circles all while focusing on his diverse portfolio of business that range from consumer products to entertainment services.
