Will Packer is joining the ranks of Black entertainment industry vets Jesse Collins, Stephanie Allain, and Reginald Hudlin, among others, as producer of the Academy Awards. For the first time, the Girls Trip producer has been hired to produce the 94th Annual Academy Awards taking place at the Dolby Theatre on March 27, 2022.

Many wonderful surprises ahead.”
Packer packs a hefty producer resume that includes This Christmas, Obsessed, Think Like a Man, Ride Along, Straight Outta Compton, The Photograph, and Wendy Williams: The Movie. The Emmy-nominated mogul will work alongside co-producer Shayla Cowan of Will Packer Productions and Will Packer Media, where she serves as chief of staff.

The 94th Annual Academy Awards will air live on ABC from the Dolby® Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood.
