Westbrook Media linked a partnership deal with Tedy Productions, an Israeli production firm known for the HBO original series Euphoria, starring Zendaya. Founded by Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith, Miguel Melendez and CEO Kosaku Yada, Westbrook Media will further its goal of creating global, cross-platform, short and mid-form content while partnering with Tedy Productions.
“It’s a pleasure and a privilege to embark on this adventure with the Westbrook Media team,” writer, actor and producer Ido Rosenblum said. “We couldn’t have found better partners and it’s a fabulous way to begin 2021. We’re eagerly looking forward to making great shows together.”
“I’ve been a fan of the Tedy crew for a while, they’ve got a long and storied history of creating cutting edge, barrier breaking contents that cuts across all genres, formats and marketplaces,” Lukas Kaiser, SVP Head of Content at Westbrook Media, said.
One of the first projects on the horizon for Westbrook Media is the recently announced Ryan Reynolds led Snapchat series Ryan Doesn’t Know, a short-form, 12-episode series that delves into the everyday life of the Deadpool actor as he attempts to master new skills, such as ice sculpting, axe throwing and latte art, with the guidance of specialists, of course. The third Snapchat series developed by Westbrook, the other two being Will Smith’s Will From Home and Jaden Smith’s The Solution Committee, Ryan Doesn’t Know premieres Jan. 30.
Westbrook Media has been building its infrastructure since its inception in 2019 with a portfolio of subsidiaries that include Overbrook Entertainment and Red Table Talk Enterprises.
