The 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards took place in Atlanta on Saturday, Oct. 5, but the actual TV broadcast was on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Hosted by Lil Duval, the awards show was all about legends and cyphers. Lil’ Kim performed her greatest hits such as, “Lighters Up”, “Crush On You”, “All About The Benjamins”, “Quiet Storm” and “Jump Off”. Special guests on her set included O.T. Genasis, Musiq Soulchild and Lil Cease. Later in the night, Lil’ Kim was honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award. Other performances of the night included Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Offset, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, T-Pain, Saweetie, Petey Pablo, Lil Jon, YBN Cordae, Anderson .Paak, Chance The Rapper and Rapsody. Lil Duval’s performance of City Boy was a pleasant delight to the audience and featured a variety of interesting characters. But, the night was owned by DaBaby. He performed with Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby and Offset, nearly having a presence throughout the entire awards show.
