Female athletes will now have an outlet to compete in professional football thanks to one special boss lady. Lupe Rose, serial entrepreneur and professional athlete, launched the first women’s professional tackle football league.
Rose, who is also the president of SHE Beverage Company, has also been instrumental in the launch of the Women’s Football League Association (WFLA), the first Women’s College Tackle Football Series, and football for girls playing in high school and for Pee Wee Little League Football.
When the City of Las Vegas named Oct. 19 as WFLA Day, Rose took it upon herself to meet with various state officials to start planning the building of six football arenas and profit centers for women’s football.
She then proceeded to build a production studio solely for women’s sports, establish a TV network, and establish the first betting service for women’s fantasy football. Lupe Rose has big dreams and even bigger accomplishments, proving that she can walk the talk.
“A hundred years from now I’d like my name noted for being instrumental in paving the way for girls to play full tackle women’s football,” Rose said in a statement. “I want to be recognized as the first-ever Women’s Football Organization to execute the full tackle sport like no other Women’s Professional organization has delivered, with compensations to match.”
The self-made CEO created a set of rules for the newly established women’s league. There will be 12-minute quarters, a 20-minute halftime show consisting of A-List talent, and a championship game called the Diamond Bowl where female athletes can engage in competitive sports warfare.
