‘Songbird’ Trailer Stirs Controversy With “Predictions” Of COVID-23

Movie fans are wildlin’ out over the new official trailer for Michael Bay’s Songbird. The trailer plays on viewers’ worst fears showing a world impacted by the mutated virus COVID-23.

The latest outbreak causes the U.S. to go into quarantine for four years with a record amount of people, 8.4 million to be exact, dying of the virus.

COVID-23 attacks the brain, rapidly denigrating its victims. Those infected are sent to Q-Zones, oppressive quarantine camps ran by a corrupt city official played by Peter Stormare (John Wick: Chapter 2).

Starring KJ Apa (The Hate U Give), Sofia Carson (Feel the Beat), Craig Robinson (Dolemite Is My Name), Paul Walter Hauser (Da 5 Bloods) and Demi Moore (Corporate Animals), Songbird has stirred controversy for many moviegoers who have expressed their sentiments about the timing of the STX Film.

One YouTube viewer said, “This would be like releasing a 9/11 movie between the planes hitting and the towers collapsing.”

While others are bewildered by how quick the film was released and the thought of another pandemic.

Categorized as a sci-fi thriller, Songbird is directed and written by Adam Mason. Simon Boyes joins Mason as writer. Producers include Michael Bay, Adam Goodman, Marcei A. Brown, Jason Clark, Jeanette Volturno, Eben Davidson and Andrew Sugerman. The release date has yet to be released.
