Trump Makes Late Night Speech Declaring The Election “A Fraud On The American Public”

Donald Trump announced that he will be going to the Supreme Court to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential elections on Wednesday morning.

In response to Joe Biden being in the lead, Trump questioned, “What happened? We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was just called off.”

At the time of Trump’s speech, Joe Biden held a popular vote at 66,484,290 beating out Trump’s 64,841,140 vote count. Biden also led in electoral votes at 225 over Trump’s 213. The winning candidate needs 270 electoral votes in order to win.

At one point during the speech, Trump claimed that “they” are going to take him to court, causing a moment of confusion. The president called the election “a fraud on the American public.” The presidential incumbent also went on to imply that he was being cheated out of the win.

Trump made these statements despite six states being too early to call. Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nevada and Georgia are still in limbo with counts not expected to be complete anytime soon.
