White House Building Tall Barrier Around Premises Before Election Day

In preparation of possible unrest on Election Day, the White House will erect a non-scalable fence around the premises. The barrier is expected to be completed by the end of day on Monday.

Built along 17th Street, Constitution Avenue and Lafayette Square, the fence is intended to protect the White House from possible riots, protests or conflicts that may arise once the projections for the presidential election are revealed on Tuesday.

Over the weekend, social media was flooded with instances of Trump and Biden supporters engaging in conflicts. A plethora of Trump supporters also held rallies across the nation, including in New York, California and Texas.

The stores were crowded over the Halloween weekend with several people stocking up on groceries and supplies in anticipation of another call for nationwide lockdowns and protests.
