As the entertainment industry gears up for a return to normalcy after the COVID-19 pandemic, Tiffany Haddish will be working on the second season of Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready.
Debuting in August 2019, the first season headlined with six comedians Tracey Ashley, Flame Monroe, Aida Rodriguez, Marlo Williams, April Macie and Chaunte Wayans.
Haddish has selected six new comedians to star in the second season. Barbara Carlyle, Tony Woods, Dean Edwards, Tracey Ashley, Erin Jackson and Godfrey will be on the second season. Filming is taking place this year in Long Beach, California, according to Deadline.
Haddish has several projects in her queue. The Girls Trip actress recently made an appearance on DJ Vlad’s Vlad TV, and several films such as, Here Today, The Card Counter, On the Count of Three, and the recently announced movie, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. The actress has always been adamant about giving back and extending a helping hand to diverse comedians who often don’t have the same opportunity as straight, white male comedians.
The second season will be executive produced by Haddish, alongside Page Hurwitz and Wanda Sykes of Push It Productions. Viewers can expect the series special to be released on Netflix in 20201.
