Democratic Donor Ed Buck Arrested For Running Drug Den In West Hollywood

Months ago, it was reported that suspicious deaths of black men were occurring at Democratic donor and LGBT activist Ed Buck’s West Hollywood, CA home.

Despite these deaths, it wasn’t until a third man suffered an overdose on methamphetamine at his home that Buck was arrested on Tuesday. The victim survived. Buck has been charged with running a trap house that lures gay men in with the promise of “drugs, money and shelter”.

In January 2019, Timothy Dean, 55, was found unresponsive at Buck’s home. The autopsy report showed that he died of an accidental methamphetamine overdose.

In July 2017, Gemmel Moore, 26, was also found dead. His death was ruled a drug overdose on the same drug.

Residents and families of the victims were outraged that Buck was not being charged for any of the deaths at his home. People congregated outside of his home earlier this year to protest.

The latest victim visited Buck’s house twice and was given a lethal amount of drugs. The man suffered an overdose and was held captive in Buck’s home until he escaped to the nearest gas station to call the police.

Upon arrival, police discovered several photos of men in compromising and sexual positions in Buck’s apartment. The apartment was also laden with drugs.

His bail is set at $4M and he is expected to be in court later on Wednesday.
