National leader in disaster response and recovery services, AshBritt Environmental, continues its longtime support of Miami’s Overtown Youth Center (OYC), a year-round youth development agency that provides enrichment services.
AshBritt has volunteered time and given more than $500,000 to OYC over the last five years.
Randy Perkins, the Chairman of AshBritt, announced during the OYC Groundbreaking Ceremony on Feb. 26 that he would be contributing a donation of $250,000 to the OYC Capital Campaign, a building fundraiser to assist with the establishment of a new facility for OYC.
The new facility will enable the organization to provide more enrichment services for students and communities in the Miami-Dade area.
Founded in 2003 by NBA Hall-of-Famer Alonzo Mourning, OYC strives to be an integral part of the community that promotes lifelong learning and success for inner-city youth and citizens.
OYC has worked for 13 years to help the youth overcome adversarial circumstances, such as crime, poverty and poor education.
Since 1992, AshBritt Environmental has been a national turnkey rapid-response disaster recovery and special environmental services contractor.
AshBritt has completed over 230 disaster recovery missions and numerous special environmental projects, including snow and ice support, emergency services, debris management, oil spill cleanup and marine services.
